So, the Ultimate Warrior came to my university and gave a speech about, of all things, conservative politics and the 2nd amendment. Yeah, it caught me off guard too. Yes, that Ultimate Warrior, from the glory days of professional wrestling. The Ultimate Warrior that defeated Hulk Hogan at Wrestlemania VI. Wow, how lame that I remember that. Anyways, Divided, you'd love this guy. The guy is f*cking INTENSE. No b.s., straight forward. Oh, and I got his autograph and many pictures. It was friggin' amazing... It was like being 8 all over again... Anyways, for more information, go to: http://www.ultimatewarrior.com

In all honesty, do you expect progressive ideas and liberal politics from a professional wrestler? Like racecar drivers, professional wrestlers seem to appeal to the middle American, conservative spectrum. Why can't our universities get incredibly cool figures like the Ultimate Warrior...instead we try to get boring people like Bob Dole and Noam Chomsky. But seriously, was the guy speaking to rally support for the GOP or just a very politically minded wrestler?

The Ultimate Warrior was great. He was no bullshit. He didn't have a huge entourage, he didn't have a hot chick as a manager, he didn't do anything except run full speed into the ring from the middle of nowhere, slide under the ropes, grab somebody and start kicking ass. I don't think it's lame to remember something from your childhood, that you thought was cool at the time. That's like still being upset over Green Day, because you took the record sleeve letter in Kerplunk seriously.

Like racecar drivers, professional wrestlers seem to appeal to the middle American, conservative spectrum. NASCAR dads and soccer moms are a very important demographic.

The Warrior (which is now his legal name) is a politically minded former wrestler. Although he mainly came from a conservative point of view, he wasn't afraid to criticize anyone, both conservatives and liberals alike, and their policies. At one point he asked the members of the Second Amendment Club to recite the 2nd Amendment verbatim. After they failed to do so, The Warrior remarked, "You're in the Second Amendment Club and don't know the fucking 2nd Amendment?" It was then and there that I realized that the man on the stage was the Ultimate Warrior. The majority of his speech dealt with the 2nd Amendment, the arguments for and against, and it's importance, and how "liberals," as he put it, "were attempting to take away our guns." He then cited many of the "Founding Documents" of the USA, the Federalist Papers, Alexander Hamilton, Thomas Jefferson, and many others as pro-gun by using quotes from them. His speech, unbeknownst to me, was also sponsored by the Second Amendment Club of my university (who knew we had one?). I figured he'd mainly talk about his days in pro wrestling, which he did a little bit, but for the most part he talked about politics. He did touch on a few other topics as well, such as personal responsibility. Personally, I don't mind guns as I've grown up with them, but I don't think anyone really needs an automatic assault rifle to defend their home. If the Ultimate Warrior ever comes to your area though, check him out.

You forgot one detail about Mr. Hellwig. He's completely fucking insane. There are no two ways about it that man is just out of his mind. I can only imagining him being completely hilarious, if you ever read the shit he posts on the internet and look at his history.

Perhaps the most insane wrestler since Jake "The Snake" Roberts. For proof of this, watch the documentary Beyond the Mat. Also, check out this Interview he did with IGN. Fucking crazy.

Jake is disturbed, I feel for him more than I do Warrior. The guy had a fucked up existance, if he cleaned up he could get on track I think. He's really intelligent which is something you don't usually hear about wrestlers he's also one of the most charismatic men around. My cousin was a wrestler for awhile you'd be amazed with some of the stories that you hear about Jake.
