I thought this was interesting to hear, courtesy of http://www.benweasel.com "I'm currently working on a series of interviews with some of my favorite songwriters, including Dr. Frank from The Mr. T. Experience and Blake Schwarzenbach of Jawbreaker/Jets To Brazil fame. These will be published in book form, hopefully by years end." Yeah, Ben is a cool guy, and of course Screeching Weasel was great, and I've also heard really good things about his new solo album, Fidatevi, which just came out on Tuesday.

Holy shit! That is rad. Screeching Weasel is probably like my second or third favorite band after Jawbreaker. I was bummed when Screeching Weasel broke up for good. I was thinking about flying to Chicago right before that to see them play then blew it off thinking I can always do it later. (They were playing at HOB in CHicago with the Queers). Then they broke up like a month later. It was almost the same situation with Jawbreaker. I could have seen them play at a little place and didn't go, then they broke up right after that. FUCK! Have you read Ben's book?

I've been meaning to pick up Ben's book, but haven't had a chance yet. I heard it was good. I also want to hear his new solo record.

I'm going to try to pick up Ben's book this weekend. That book with the interviews of Blake and all should be great. I am anxious to check out Ben's new record too.

I drove to Chicago from New Hampshire to catch their last show. It was pretty amazing. Dan Vapid played guitar on a few songs. They covered the KKK Took My Baby Away. The last song was Bark Like a Dog, Jughead went nuts and smashed up his guitar and fell into the crowd. Awesome.
